Elegant Ecology is a Vermont-based landscape design and environmental planning firm that specializes in site-specific, place-based design solutions. We bring the unique ecological dynamics of each site into relief through our sensitivity to color, texture, water, vegetation, seasonality, and regional materials.

Elegant Ecology’s focus is public projects that build community, educate and invigorate the natural and cultural landscapes. We also develop residential designs that seamlessly meld the built and natural environments and promote biodiversity, ecological restoration, and long-term landscape resilience. We work with clients as we design thriving, balanced, low-maintenance landscapes that provide beauty, food, and ecological services.
